A bold, bright, touch screen window display can grab the attention of passers-by and encourage them to come into your store. And with new advances in technology, there are now even more ways to draw the crowds. Interactive displays can be installed on any glass shop front, and they have great potential to change the way we shop. Take a look at these exciting examples of touch screen commercial window displays.
Galeries Lafayette
In December 2013, French department store chain Galeries Lafayette set up an elaborate touch screen window display at their flagship store in Paris to celebrate the holiday season and the upcoming release of La Belle & La Bête. When passers-by touched the glass the virtual rose petals moved, revealing a hidden image from the movie.
Huit Denim Co
In September 2014, Huit Denim Co ‘tech hacked’ an interactive shop window in London using conductive paint. When people walked by an audio clip played, encouraging them to stop and touch the bright yellow circles painted on the shop window. When touched, light bulbs and audio samples were triggered, teaching people about the history of the brand. It was the first time conductive ink has been used through glass and as part of a retail installation.
